Job Description
US Vietnam Talent International School is seeking the Academic Assistant, Primary School for our Van Lang Complex campus. As the Academic Assistant, Primary School, the jobholder is responsible for supporting Vice Principal, Primary School is managing, coordinating, and enhancing the quality of primary academic programs by supervising teaching practices, supporting teacher development, and ensuring the effective implementation of curriculum objectives in alignment with the school‘s educational vision and standards.
A. YOUR ACCOUNTABILITY
- Provide professional support and advisory services for the primary education division (including reviewing lesson plans, teaching outlines, and content on the school’s software systems and websites, as well as those of the Department of Education and relevant authorities).
- Support Vice Principal, Primary School in supervising and monitoring teachers in implementing assigned objectives and plans in accordance with their roles.
- Guide, monitor, and support teachers in fully and effectively carrying out educational activities aligned with the school’s development goals.
- Implement plans from the School Management Board to subject groups and teaching staff, including subject group plans and individual work plans.
- Participate in assessment and examination activities in accordance with professional regulations.
- Prepare and submit professional reports required by the Department of Education and relevant authorities; consolidate professional activities based on reports from subject groups.
- Submit periodic and ad-hoc reports to the School Management Board in response to arising situations.
- Support the School Management Board in receiving and archiving official documents and professional records and collecting internal feedback within the school.
- Develop the weekly work schedule for the academic department and support teacher evaluation as directed by the School Management Board.
- Ensure the effectiveness of professional operations and perform other assigned tasks; support the School Management Board in managing academic operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Line Manager.
B. JOB REQUIREMENT
1. Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Primary Education or a related field
- A master’s degree in education, Primary Education, Educational Management, or a related field is an advantage
2. Experience
- At least 3 years of teaching experience at the primary level, including a minimum of 1 year as a Primary Academic/Subject Group Leader
- Candidates with experience in a similar position will be given priority
3. Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of primary education, curriculum frameworks, and teaching methodologies aligned with international integration trends.
- Knowledge of subjects taught within the school curriculum.
- Strong communication skills; proactive, enthusiastic, creative, and effective in problem-solving and situational handling.
- Skills in teacher management, performance evaluation, coaching, and professional guidance
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Proficient in office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, etc.)
- Excellent command of English
